The Faculty of Arts and Communication at Universidad Europea organizes the 1st International Conference on Media in Higher Education: laboratories, clinics and agencies as training scenarios in Arts and Communication.
The aim of this 1st International Conference is to reflect, debate and generate knowledge in Higher Education in the scope of Arts and Communication, with a specific approach on students learning opportunities from the point of view of employment, active methodologies of education and the use of professional techniques in laboratories and university mass media.
Accordingly, the 1st International Conference on Media in Higher Education will have as primary targets:
1.- To analyze current educational methodologies in Arts and Communication, as well as the technological needs they entail.
2.- To analyze the impact of laboratories, clinics and agencies as a means for learning professional competencies and the subsequent employability of students.
3.- To reflect on the social role of media in Higher Education contexts (scope of influence, agents of innovation, alternative/competition to professional media…).
4.- To get to know the experiences on the creation of professional scenarios for learning purposes, together with experiences in entrepreneurship with agents and institutions.
5.- To study the research paths in media in Higher Education .
This 1st International Conference on Media in Higher Education is an opportunity for the scientific and academic analysis of the professionalisation and employability of students of degrees related to Arts and Communication, two areas closely related to creative economy and, therefore, of great economic impact.
